Prayer as a believing family: Additional prayer items on your daily list.

Thanks for the overwhelming support for our first broadcast this past Sunday. We’ve had good feedback and responses from as far as Norway and the rest of Europe. ‘Let God arise and His enemies be scattered.’

During this time of lockdown please include these items in your daily prayer schedule. Its important to pray as one body in unity, for it activates the power of agreement, as Jesus stated in Matt18:18-20 ; Deut 32:30 ; Joshua 23:10. This brings heaven on the scene in a most dynamic fashion.

I know that you pray for the wellbeing of your family and friends and for our church and I thank God for the comfort it brings. Let us extend our prayer list to include a wider spectrum as the Bible underscores such good habits.

This is a special time of consecration and dedication as we draw near to God in our households. Make time to present precious people before the Lord. There are multitudes of people, in this nation alone, who don’t know the Lord Jesus as Saviour. They will thank you one day in heaven, for covering and standing in the gab for their salvation and for their safety and wellbeing. Here are a list this week to include and add to your own list.

Thanking you in anticipation.

Monday: Pray for the country’s political leaders and their advisers. 1Tim 2v 1-2 (NIV): “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.” We need to pray for guidance and wisdom. A spirit of diligence and unity. Also for their protection and soundness of mind as this is an immensely challenging time for them. Above all, to give thanks to God for their bravery and decision to “lock down” the country and we believe that this will have a good outcome.

Tuesday: Health care workers. For their protection both physically and spiritually. That they be brave in the face of potential danger but also logical and wise. We also pray for smooth procurement processes so that the necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) may be sourced speedily as there is already a shortage at many health institutions.

Wednesday: The country’s economy. That those in small and medium sized business will be able to sustain themselves and their workers during this time and that their businesses will recover and flourish once things return to normal. Also pray that our economy will sufficiently recover.

Thursday: Researchers around the world. Pray for those conducting research on a cure on possible vaccine for SARS-2 (Corona virus). Earnestly pray that this cure will be found speedily and especially before the South African winter.

Friday: Peace and soundness of mind for all citizens!

Thanks for standing in agreement.

God Bless.
